It’s Monday, and I don’t know about you but it’s always the busiest day of the week for the Blooming Bites team. The struggle to complete all that needs to get done and have dinner on the table at a reasonable hour is a juggling act. But it doesn’t have to be, especially when the dinner menu includes this Slow Cooker Beef Stew.
As a child, my mom used to make a version of this recipe and it was such a treat; both my brother and I would devour it in minutes, and then go back for seconds and devour that. Comfort food is a term often used to explain foods that offer a feeling of warmth, and a reminder of our childhood and home-style cooking.
Everyone has their version of what comfort food is to them; but I think a lot of you would agree that a warm cup of flavorful beef stew is as close to comfort food as it gets. When my mom used to make it, while is was so incredibly delicious, it was quite a process I could never perfect. This version is simplified so anyone can make it.
I found pre-cut beef stew meat at the market, which was awesome to not have to cut up a huge piece of stew meat. Most markets will have pre-cut stew meat in there pre-packaged meat section, this would be my one recommendation when shopping for these ingredients. Everything else is pretty self explanatory if you just follow the directions; you’ll have scrumptious beef stew on your dinner table with little effort.
If you are planning on making this for dinner soon, take a picture and tag us on facebook, twitter, or instagram for a chance to be featured. We would love to see your beautiful creations!
