Strawberry Limeade Trifle
  • 1box of strawberry cake
  • 4cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1box of lime Jello
  • zest of 1 lime
  • 1 lime, sliced for garnish(optional)
  • strawberry tops for garnish(optional)
  1. Make jello as instructed, fill mason jars (or what ever kind of glass you want to serve the trifle in) as much as you like (don’t forget to leave enough room for other layers). Refrigerate trifle glasses and remaining jello mixture in bowl until done.
  2. Make strawberry cake as instructed on box. Let cool for 1 hour and crumble
  3. Slice strawberries, zest lime, and set aside.
  4. When jello and cake steps are complete, you can start building your trifle as follows. Softly push strawberry slices into bottom layer of jello around the side of each jar (see photos for example).
  5. Fill half the jar with cake crumble.
  6. Spoon remaining jello from extra in bowl.
  7. Top with cool whip and lime zest.
  8. Garnish with lime and strawberry tops (optional)
