Mini Apple Pies
Keep this mini apple pie recipe in mind for an easy to make fall dessert that is sure to be a crowd favorite.

  • 1package refrigerated pie crust(2 crusts)
  • 5oz caramel topping
  • 10oz apple pie filling(see notes for apple pie filling)
  • 1 egg
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4cup coconut sugar
  1. Preheat the oven to 350.
  2. Spray muffin top pan or cookie sheet with nonstick spray and set aside.
  3. Allow crusts to warm slightly to make them easier to work with.
  4. Dust work area with flour and slightly roll out crusts.
  5. Cut rounds with large cookie cutter.
  6. Spread a thin layer of caramel sauce on each of the crust rounds.
  7. Add roughly ¼ cup homemade apple pie filling or enough to fill the center of each mini pie.
  8. Cut other crust into 1/4″ strips. We used a pizza cutter to do this.
  9. Use strips to create a lattice top (roughly 4 by 3 strips).
  10. Transfer to prepared baking sheet.
  11. Beat egg in a bowl until well blended.
  12. Brush each pie with egg wash.
  13. Add one more 1/4″ strip and create a rim around each pie.
  14. Brush again with egg wash.
  15. Mix together sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and nutmeg.
  16. Sprinkle with sugar mixture.
  17. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
