Mexican Tostada Bowls

Ingredients
  • 1lb ground turkey
  • 4tbs taco seasoning, or more to taste(1 1.5 ounce taco seasoning pack)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2cups shredded lettuce
  • 1cup tomatoes, diced
  • 1can black bean
  • 4 buritto siced tortillas(or pre-made tostada bowls if you don’t have the mold to make the bowls)
Toppings
  • Guacamole
  • nacho cheese sauce
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. In a medium to large skillet, heat 1 tsp of oil. Add ground turkey, season with salt and pepper, and cook (breaking it up as it cooks) for 3-5 minutes or until brown and cooked through.
  3. Add 4 tbs (1 package) of taco seasoning, or more to taste. And ¼ cup water, and simmer till most of the liquid is burned off.
  4. Cook black beans in a small saucepan until just heated through.
  5. If you are making homemade tostada bowls, add your tortillas to the mold, and cook in the oven for 5 minutes, or until edges start to brown. If you pre-bought tostada bowls, follow the directions on the package (keep in mind, oven temperature might be different).
  6. Once tostada bowls are done, remove from the oven, and layer your ingredients in this order. Meat, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, guacamole, and nacho cheese.
  7. Serve immediately, and enjoy!
