If you don’t have dinner planned for tonight, we got you covered. This healthy rendition of mexican tostada bowls are easily thrown together in a flash, and satisfying for the whole family to enjoy!
4tbstaco seasoning, or more to taste(1 1.5 ounce taco seasoning pack)
1medium onion, diced
4buritto siced tortillas(or pre-made tostada bowls if you don’t have the mold to make the bowls)
nacho cheese sauce
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
In a medium to large skillet, heat 1 tsp of oil. Add ground turkey, season with salt and pepper, and cook (breaking it up as it cooks) for 3-5 minutes or until brown and cooked through.
Add 4 tbs (1 package) of taco seasoning, or more to taste. And ¼ cup water, and simmer till most of the liquid is burned off.
Cook black beans in a small saucepan until just heated through.
If you are making homemade tostada bowls, add your tortillas to the mold, and cook in the oven for 5 minutes, or until edges start to brown. If you pre-bought tostada bowls, follow the directions on the package (keep in mind, oven temperature might be different).
Once tostada bowls are done, remove from the oven, and layer your ingredients in this order. Meat, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, guacamole, and nacho cheese.
