Hot Buttered Rum
This old-fashioned cocktail recipe for Hot Buttered Rum will warm you up from the inside out with a spicy kick and subtle hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, and powdered sugar.

  • 1tsp powdered sugar
  • 1/4cup boiling water
  • 1-2shots spiced rum, to taste
  • 2tbs butter, softened
  • 1/8tsp fresh ground nutmeg
  • 1/8tsp ground cinnamon
  1. Combine softened butter, powdered sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon until it becomes a smooth texture, set aside.
  2. Boil ΒΌ cup water.
  3. Add 2 tbs of butter mixture to a tumbler glass, and pour boiling water and a 1-2 shots of spiced rum to tumbler glass.
  4. Mix together until butter dissolves completely and enjoy hot.
