Easy Cheesy Bread Cubes
These delicious cheesy bread cubes can be served as an appetizer, served on top of a salad, or even as a soup topper.
loaf of fresh crusty bread
(we used french loaf, but any crusty bread will do)
block of cheddar cheese, finely shredded
salt to taste
Preheat oven 375 degrees.
Cube your bread and put it into a large bowl.
Whisk together melted butter and egg. (until it starts to froth)
Pour butter egg mixture over bread, and thoroughly combine.
Place on a baking sheet in an even layer.
Mix together paprika, salt, and cayenne and sprinkle over bread cubes.
Directly shred block of cheese (very finely) over bread cubes.
Bake for 15-20 minutes (depending on strength of oven and how crispy you want your bread cubes to be).
Let them cool for 5-10 minutes, and serve as an appetizer or with soup or salad.
