Dare I say that we are heading into that time of year where we need to start worrying about our bikini bodies again. Don’t you feel like it’s a catch 22 sometimes. You want to not worry about the way you look half naked, but the warmer weather is so wonderful you can’t deny you skin the vitamin D. So what do you do? Well exercise sure helps, but isn’t complete without a healthy diet. And a healthy diet certainly does not mean depriving yourself of flavor. So let me introduce you to the most flavorful and tasty Quinoa Burrito Bowl.
Last week, Sammy and I made this recipe in my new studio. And by new I just mean It moved from my 2nd bedroom to my garage as I had to clear some space for my little one that’s on the way. I wasn’t sure at first how I felt about it, but knew I had no choice. Baby’s need a nursery, who would have thought. Just kidding, but now I wish I’d set it up back there in the first place. It was so much work clearing out all the storage we had back there, but it really feels like a work space now. That and the additional space compared to the small 2nd bedroom is wonderful. Shooting this Quinoa Burrito Bowl recipe was a breeze.
Of course what comes after prepping and shooting is the eating…my favorite part. Sammy and I enjoyed these for lunch, and what a special treat they were. With quinoa as your base, you really can’t add to many ingredients to insure lots of flavor. And the perfectly seasoned and seared chicken is something dreams are made of. Well maybe not yours, but I literally dream of food these days no joke.
You’d think by looking at these loaded plates that we’ve maybe included to much, but I assure you that is not the case. My tactic in eating this dish was how much of each ingredient can I get in one bite, so much yum you guys. The best part about this Quinoa Burrito Bowl recipe is you don’t feel bloated or overly full afterwards. Which brings my back to my original point, this is a great addition to your lighter healthier summer diet.
