All right fellow football fans, it’s getting close pretty close to the superbowl and we’ve got the Perfect for Tailgating Cheesy Beer Dip that will knock everyone’s socks off. As a Los Angelenos born and raised, I was pretty excited when the rams reclaimed there old stomping grounds…I mean as excited as someone could get who doesn’t super love the game. The tailgating process on the other hand is always a good time. Good food, good company, a few drinks what’s not to love.
And we highly recommend checking out this incredible dip recipe we encountered on our Journey cooking through the “Joy of Cooking,” cookbook. For more information on this, check out our blog post detailing Our Journey into the Joy of Cooking. You will also find a list linking back to all the recipes we’ve done from the book thus far.
Now back to the dip. It’s an easy process that can be made on a stovetop and transferred to a crockpot to keep warm. Grab one of those mini crockpots HERE and set it to keep warm, this is perfect for parties where you know it’s going to be sitting out for awhile. As for tailgating, most people have a portable stove top they bring, in that case just reheat on stove as needed. Best if you can find a power source to plug the crockpot in and serve it that way.
The real fun comes into play when you have to decide what your dippers will be. As you see pictured, we used bread and it was perfection. However you could dip anything really. Grapes would be tasty, broccoli is always a favorite of mine, but I think the real winner would be a soft or hard pretzel. Great, I’m super hungry now.
Just thinking of the taste is making me drool, which has a base of cheddar cheese (YUM!) with hints of blue cheese, gorgonzola, and beer kick to round out the robust flavor. It’s perfectly rich and guaranteed to please crowd. And did me mention this comes together in 10-15 minutes. Oh yeah, it’s easy and delicious. WIN!
That concludes are post for today, and we hope you have enjoyed your time with us. Stay tuned as we have more recipes to share starting Monday. Have a great weekend everyone!
