So excited for our post today you guys! My new obsession is with fractal broccoli, seasoned and baked to perfection. The cauliflower is delicious in this too, but made better with the addition of the beautiful vegetable that is fractal broccoli. Let me tell you, if this wonderful combination of veggies isn’t usually your thing, think twice and and try again. It is always surprising how a few simple ingredients can alter the way we feel about foods we usually can’t stand. And we all know that cauliflower often gives off an unpleasant odor that most of us can’t get past. Instead, this recipe gives off a garlicky mustard kind of smell that could get anyone’s taste buds excited.
And it is completely fail proof! Seriously though, anyone can make this scrumptious side dish. Start by cutting of the stem of each vegetable, and placing it in a dutch oven with a tight fitting lid. Whisk together the ingredients for the sauce, and generously cover the broccoli and cauliflower. And by generously we mean get those fingers dirty and rub that sauce on till every inch of those veggies are covered! Put the tight fitting lid on, and bake until tender. Gotta love that added crunch so don’t forget to remove the lid and broil these bad boys for 5 minutes or until golden brown. So much YUM!
I wasn’t kidding when I said fail proof! Not going to lie, I totally stuffed my face with these right after they came out of the oven. I may or may not have burned my tongue. Who am I kidding, I totally burned my tongue and it was worth it! If you can stand to wait, maybe it’s best to let these cool down before eating, but it’s hard to resist you will see. And if you can make them last until dinner time, pair them with our Crunchy Baked Ranch Chicken or Chicken Parcels for an easy to make dinner. We hope you enjoy, and come back for more tasty recipes soon!
