It’s that day of the week again, you know, the one we dread till the minute it’s over. We always feel a sense of relief as soon as we near the end of the day on Monday’s. However, this Monday is particularly hard. Typically at Blooming Bites, Monday’s are very important because it’s our day to schedule out the rest of the week. Today we’re down to one as Sammy got called into Jury Duty! I’m sure I can speak for the masses here and say that receiving a Jury Duty Summons is worse than embracing a Monday after you’ve partied all weekend…not saying that’s what we did, but if you consider spending all day at Disneyland with 4 kids and 6 adults a party, well then we partied HARD!
You could say our mood is a bit sour today with everything going on, so these sweet mini lemon souffles couldn’t be more fitting. Tackling these was not an easy task to do, but with lots of research and patience we conquered the beast! Making the homemade vanilla bean ice cream using our new Cuisinart ice cream maker was surprisingly easy. We followed this video and our ice cream turned out perfect the first time!
We’ve always considered ourselves photographer’s first and chef’s second, so the learning curve when it comes to tricky recipes is still very much a roller coaster ride that seems never ending. As much as we love being able to share with you all our experience with cooking, we too rely on food blogs to learn a thing or two. We are coming up on our year anniversary of starting the Blooming Bites food blog, and it still surprises us each day the new things we food bloggers can learn from each other. It’s an incredible community to be apart, and we’re grateful everyday for it!
If anything we’ve learned that learning curve is a blessing in disguise as it reminds us to never stop learning and growing. And this ideal can be applied to anything. Much like the souffle! We loved this recipe, but we know next time we will make it even more perfect than before. Practice makes perfect, please reach out with any questions you have! Happy Baking!
