Happy National Whiskey Day! Since it’s a special day to celebrate all things whiskey, below we have two delicious recipe that we will be celebrating with today.
We paired these two drinks together because they have similar ingredients, however one is a bit sweeter than the other. Both are sweet, but the rosemary peach maple leaf cocktail is the sweeter of the two. If you’re a whiskey on the rocks kind of person, good news because both of these recipes stay true enough to the flavor of whiskey without being intimidating to those who aren’t avid drinkers. It’s a toss up on which one to choose.
For someone who is new to drinking whiskey like us, the maple syrup paired with the muddled peach and rosemary would probably be our choice. Why? You will notice the maple syrup does a great job at masking the intensity of the whiskey going down, while still allowing for its smoky flavor to come through. If you are a peach ice tea fan, you must choose to drink the peach whiskey ice tea cocktail. This one is more customizable as far as sweetness and strength of alcohol. If you prefer a sweeter version, just add more sugar to your peach puree. For more of a kick, follow our recipe and add whiskey to your desired strength of drink.
The one piece of advice we’d like to offer is the quality of your whiskey is everything, and can elevate these drinks to the next level. Both are fun to make with your partner or friend, and great to enjoy after a long work week. And boy has it been one of those weeks! We hope you all enjoy!
