It’s a few days into spring, and this funfetti cake dip screams springtime! As we say goodbye to all those delicious winter recipes, we are happy to welcome back the colors and flavors of spring.
When we decided to include this recipe in our line up of blog posts this month, we got to be honest and say we were not certain what the outcome would be. What we did know was we wanted to do something different and sweet for national chip n dip day tomorrow, which I think we definitely accomplished! Looking at the ingredients, it seemed a little too sweet for our taste. The end result was definitely sweet, I mean how could it not be when the instructions call for a full box of funfetti cake mix haha! Too sweet though? We are still debating that, however the next part of this story couldn’t have worked out better for this blog post. As we were wrapping up the photoshoot, we had a surprise visit from Mike and Jenifer, (Tessa’s brother and 9 year old niece). Little did they know, we had already dubbed them our newest taste tasters. We couldn’t have brought them over to dip fast enough, and Jenfer’s jaw immediately dropped with excitement. We knew right then and there, this dip was made for her. She proceeded to try the dip, and while it took us trying the dip a few times to form an opinion, it was love at first site for Jenifer. The next words that came out of her mouth were “can I please please please take some home?”
Whether it be served at their next birthday party, or just getting them more involved in the kitchen; It couldn’t have been more obvious how perfect this dip is to make and enjoy with your kids. Keep an eye out for more unique and colorful recipes from us as we embrace this new season! Happy cooking, and have fun celebrating national chip n dip day tomorrow!
