It’s been awhile since we have posted a delicious cocktail, and what better day to share one than today. Because let’s be honest, we could always be in the mood for a cocktail, am I right? It also happens to be smack dab in the middle of the work week, and we could all use a pick me up. So here we go, feast your eyes on this incredible Blood Orange, Sage, and Ginger Margarita. Doesn’t get more interesting than this folks.
It’s all about the fresh blood orange juice. Talk about vibrant in color? Not is this drink delicious, but it’s absolutely beautiful to look at it. Perfect to serve at a brunch or evening gathering if your looking to impress the masses.
As it might look unattainable for most to make, I am here to ease your mind and tell you, anyone can make this liquid perfection. In actuality, it’s darn easy to make! Obviously the laborious part is juicing your blood oranges, but if you have a juicer, you are in luck. Use that for sure. You don’t need much lime juice, so we just squeezed ours by hand, easy peezy limey squeezy.
Now, making the sage and ginger simple syrup is also easy, but keep in mind the longer it simmers the more intense the flavor will be. Be careful not to let it simmer to hard or it will burn…we definitely don’t want that. Next steps are just combining everything, giving it a good shake, and serving these in the prettiest glasses you own. For some real eye candy, garnish each glass with a slice of blood orange, a slice of lime, and sage in addition to your salted rim which is a must!
That concludes our post for today, and we hope you have enjoyed your time with us. Be sure to come back Friday more delicious recipes!
