On the agenda for the blog today is of course a delicious recipe, but this one isn’t ours. It’s been awhile since we’ve shared a Blue Apron meal, or talked about the service in general. Today we are excited to chat about these BBQ glazed wings, and a big improvement Blue Apron has made to their service.
If you’ve read any of my old post’s featuring Blue Apron recipes, which a few are listed below, it’s easy to see why I have continued with my subscription.
- Smoked Trout Tartines with Romaine, Cucumber, and Radish Salad
- Shrimp & Shiitake Dumplings with Sauteed Bok Choy & Soy Dipping Sauce
- Bucatini Pasta Bolognese
It’s cost efficient, so instead of going to the market and buying too much of one ingredient, Blue Apron sends you only what you need per recipe, and pre measured out. Since it’s just me and the hubby, we are signed up for the 2 person plan which gives you 3 meals a week. It’s wonderful too because you can choose to skip a week anytime. There are weeks where I will choose to skip because I don’t think i’ll enjoy a certain recipe. Up until recently, I found myself doing that more and more often, and I’ll tell you why. Before, they gave you 6 recipe options to choose from, however you could only choose a certain combination. So when I would choose 2 recipes, they automatically chose the 3rd recipe for me. Not only have they gotten rid of this restriction, you now have the option of choosing from 8 recipes without limits. Honestly, I was about to give it up, and I am so glad I stuck it out. Since this change has been made, I have yet to find a combination of recipes I think the husband and I won’t enjoy. And these BBQ wings are no different.
Seriously though, who doesn’t crave wings at one point or another. Well of course people who can’t or don’t eat meat, but those of us that do would love to have a recipe like this on hand. This sweet bbq glaze is made from scratch and is just to die for. And the coleslaw salad on the side is perfectly refreshing for this time of year. I followed the recipe exactly and it couldn’t have come out better.
The detailed instructions provided allows any person to prepare restaurant quality meals, and is obviously a big selling point for most. Honestly, some recipes are better than what you’d get eating out. Check this awesome service out, It comes highly recommended by yours truly! Hope you enjoyed our post for the day, and happy cooking!
