Happy hump day everyone! It’s the last week before Halloween, and I can’t think of a better way to get into the Halloween spirit than with food. I’d like to introduce you all to my new friend, Frankenguac. He doesn’t say much, but loves a good Halloween party.
All week we have been and will continue posting some super cute Halloween decor in the form of food. I think this one might be my favorite though. To get you up to speed, we have shared a delightful recipe for Chocolate Date Witch Hat Cupcakes, and Peanut Brittle dyed orange. And now you have Frankenguac to add to the list!
So, what are you waiting for? Get in that kitchen of yours and whip up some Halloween spirit, literally! Even better, get the whole family involved. The Frankenguac is really fun for kids because guacamole is super easy to make, and they can style his face however they like.
How did we build ours? We used refried beans to create his mouth and stitches, an olive for the nose and neck, blue tortilla chips for his hair, and we cheated a store bought candy eyes. We were going to use sour cream and and more refried beans to created his eyes, but once we saw those candy eyes at the market it was all over. Needless to say, we had a blast created this.
We hope you have enjoyed your time with us today, and if you like what you see, we’ve got a lot more coming your way. Stay tuned as we are just getting started helping you Halloweenify your foods. Stay spooky friends!
