Happy Almost 4th you guys! Being one of my favorite Holidays, of course we had to share something super 4th of July themed. Not sure it gets more festive than these red, white, and blue marshmallow popcorn balls. If you are hosting a party tomorrow, throw these together in a flash, and your guests will love snacking on this salty sweet treat. In need of a fun creative project to do with your kids? These are so easy to make and the whole family can partake, young and old.
The process of making these ends up being really sticky so be sure to prep an appropriate work space to contain the mess. Especially with kids, I recommend working on parchment paper.
My plans for this 4th are actually going to be very low key. While Charles (my husband) gets the day off on the 4th, he has a bright an early work day on the 5th; not conducive for an adult style celebration. Part of why I love what I do, is I get to make my own schedule, however this means the work never stops. Especially when you are trying to grow a blog like Sammy and I are doing. But Charles on the other hand has a 9-5, however it’s more like 8-6 these days, and that is his schedule everyday. He comes home from work so exhausted on a full night’s rest, I can’t imagine him going to work on little to no sleep. We also have the cutest fur baby who gets stressed out by the fireworks, and I can’t imagine leaving her alone. So our plan is to stay home (which means not dealing with Los Angeles traffic, yay!) grilling up some food, and possibly seeing some fireworks from our house. Sounds pretty good to me!
We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July, and as always, happy cooking!
